From Los Angeles or San Francisco via Interstate 5: Take I-5 north to the Hamilton City exit (Hwy. 32) through Chico to Hwy. 36. Go East on Hwy. 36 through Chester to Hwy. A-13. Turn south on Hwy. 147 to Lake Haven Resort at 7329 Highway 147.

From Reno: Take Hwy. 395 north to Susanville. Go through Susanville and continue on Hwy. 36 until you reach Hwy. 147. Turn south on Hwy. 147 to 7329 Highway 147.

From Sacramento: Either take I-5 north and follow the above directions as if coming from Los Angeles, or for a more scenic drive, travel through the Feather River Canyon on Hwy. 70 to Hwy. 89, then north on Hwy. 147 to 7329 Highway 147.
